Hem Onc Research
Members of the Division of Hematology and Oncology conduct a wide spectrum of research that includes wet-lab, dry-lab and clinical investigation. Our major research themes are described below.
- Hematology and Vascular Biology
- Cancer Cell Biology
- Developmental Therapeutics/Translational Research
- Cancer Genetics and Genomics
- Hematologic Malignancies
- Patient Decision Making, Health Services Research and Education
In the next academic year we plan to continue to build upon our critical mass in the thematic areas noted above. We will seek opportunities for multi-investigator efforts that leverage the scientific resources within our division, the Cancer Center, and the university. We will continue efforts to translate laboratory discovery into clinical application, with an emphasis on novel therapeutics and the individualization of therapy.
