Broadly speaking, research within the Division of General Internal Medicine focuses on health care services and outcomes, quality improvement initiatives in patient care, chronic disease management, health care disparities, cancer screening, cancer genetics and graduate medical education. The specific research areas include the following:

  • Hypertension management and long-term results of tight control (SPRINT study)
